Wilbur Smith is a historical fiction master!

The New Kingdom sounds like another great one from Wilbur Smith. He has a way of writing that makes you feel like you are part of the past! The only thing with this book is that it's number 9 in the series and I have not read any of the rest of the series. Seems like it could be a stand alone but I'd rather be in the know by reading the rest.
