The plot seems to have potential, but feels... bland. The synopsis tries to convey a thrilling adventure with betrayal, drama, and divine intervention. Unfortunately, the excerpt leaves you asking, "This is going to pick up, right?" It may be quick of me to judge, but I think I will pass on this one.
