So, Wilbur Smith has been featured several times here on this site, and I have consistently felt the same about the first looks (this book being no exception) - the writing is ok, the plot is slightly intriguing, but there's nothing pulling me in making me want to read more. I always end the first look saying "ok, it's done now," which doesn't make me want to read more of the mystery / thriller novel. I hope other readers enjoy this title, but it just isn't quite for me.
