Autumn Casterly is a troubled teen. She's a senior in high school with a bad reputation but also very popular. She sells pills so that she can save money for college tuition. She instills fear in the other female students. And now her dealer has asked her to participate in a burglary.
Ivy, Autumn's sister, is a member of the Nerd Herd. She's unpopular, considered to be overweight, and largely ignored by everyone including Autumn. Her sister never speaks to her or acknowledges her existence except for the occasional grunt. So when Autumn calls Ivy by name and asks the whereabouts of one of her classmates, Ivy is shocked. As Autumn drives away, she gets a bad feeling that something isn't right.
