Three and a half stars!
During a drug deal gone bad, 18 year old Autumn is beaten, bound, and held hostage. As she hovers between life and death, she is able to leave her body and search for help. No one but her younger sister, Ivy, can sense her. Ivy, with the help of her band geek friends, set out to find Autumn. The truth is quite what it seems.
The YA mystery/thriller alternates between Autumn’s perspective and Ivy’s. I preferred the Autumn chapters. The story moved at a quick pace that kept me flipping those pages, but I never felt fully invested in the characters. There was one plot line that was problematic for me, won’t go into it because it’s a little bit of a spoiler.
I enjoyed the book, it just had a few little hang ups for me.
