I don't read a lot of contemporaries, so when I do, if they don't click with me right away I usually have a hard time getting through them. Luckily this book had me from the beginning. Autumn was such a great character. She had a great story arc with so much growth and depth, and I really enjoyed her. With Ivy, I don't really feel like she changed a ton, or really had any growth, but since I liked her character from the beginning I still enjoyed her. The side characters were for the most part, really great and well done. Everyone just seemed like actual real people who weren't perfect, and I loved it.
The books overall message was very well done. Girls and women are raped and sexually assaulted every day, and the majority go unreported, because even when they are reported, women aren't believed. I think this book did a great job of showing that while also showing how wrong it is.
