I love a good story about sisters, which is what originally caught my attention. Set in Concord, New Hampshire, the book alternates between two perspectives - angry high school senior Autumn and her nerdier (but far happier) sophomore sister, Ivy. For the last three years, Autumn has pushed everyone away - including her sister. But when Autumn doesn't come home, Ivy is suddenly certain that something is really wrong. She's the only one (along with her diverse group of friends self-dubbed "The Nerd Herd") who really are working to track down Autumn's whereabouts.

The book is tense - totally gripping and also emotional as it moves through the present as well as Autumn and Ivy's past memories. I definitely needed the tissues when I finished this, but I genuinely loved this from start to finish. Tate does a wonderful job creating realistic, authentic characters that leap off the page. Like most YA books, adults get something of a bad wrap here, but this works well with the plot. And the plot is certainly riveting - I read this in practically one sitting. It's tense, hard to put down and contains some real shockers!

Ultimately, this is a very satisfying read - and I really enjoyed the epilogue especially! Sometimes YA thrillers are a little too high school, but this one is one that I think will appeal to adult and young adult readers. I really enjoyed this and definitely plan on checking out more from Tate in the future!
