I liked this passage quite a bit. I got the impression that it will be kind of slow burn novel. This passage was good, but it was mostly setting up the exposition. This section was introducing the characters and setting up motivations that will put the story into place. I picked this book because it reminds me of some of the books that I have read before that I really like. It seems like it will be a mix of thriller/mystery with some supernatural elements. One of the strongest elements of this section was introducing the characters. The story has two narrators, which I really like. I think it helps keep the story moving and holds my attention a little better. In this book, the two narrators are very separate and individual. You understand the two separate characters and they have their own voice. I would love to continue reading and see where the story goes
