This book was mysterious and sad. It had characters that were relatable and addressed some heavier topics in a tasteful way. It was a beautiful story about two sisters and how their bond could overcome bigger obstacles in life. The dedication in the beginning of the book gave me a good preview into the deeper message of this book and it was amazingly written. It didn’t need to be graphic or descriptive of what happened to her to make it matter and make it powerful. The focus of how people responded to Autumn’s tragedy was it’s own message in how people respond to these heavy topics and how the victim is not always believed leading to a bigger problem of them not wanting to talk about it. It shows that you should always stand up for someone who needs it.
