I've been going through the old first look previews in order to rack up more points. I download them to the computer, then I read them as I get to them on the nook, taking notes to come back to writing this later. The following were my notes as I read the excerpt:
- Another YA, this one intended for ages 14+ - it seems that's a bit too old of an audience for this book
- This book is about a spoiled little brat. I wouldn't want my kid ever picking up something like this. Then again, she wouldn't because she knows better than to act like a little shit, unlike the character in this book. She'd toss it before she was done with the length of the excerpt because she knows better.
- Oh look, it's another stupid little main character who thinks that sass is the best way to handle things.
- This little brat really needs a time out.
- I feel like this is a waste of my time. My only solace is that it gets me 100 points closer to something decent.
