Though probably not for me, I think this book will have strong appeal for readers of YA fiction. The writing is engaging. Autumn is the quintessential mean girl, and consequently she's difficult to like or empathize with. Ivy is a young nerd, still somewhat uncomfortable in her own skin. This excerpt contains a lot of teenage drama that makes me glad I'm far removed from high school. The premise is intriguing and definitely holds promise.
