Unapologetic Snarky Female - Love it
Right off the bat, the dedication of this novel gave me goose bumps & has me so thrilled to read more! Important social themes underlined in a work of fiction is one of my favorite things to read.
I immediately fell in love with the character Autumn. She is sassy, witty, and unapologetically herself. It's clear that she is a tough girl not to be messed with, but from reading the blurb the reader has an impeding sense of drama waiting to take place.
The author brings in authentic humor & quotable lines right from the gate and here are some of my favorites.
“But everyone thinks their time is more valuable than mine—it comes with the territory of being a teenage girl.”
“If they’re going to sniff my stuff for drugs, at least bring a drug-sniffing dog for me to pet.”
