I don't read a ton of fantasy but this had me hooked from the very beginning and I was really disappointed when the First Look ended. I need to know what happens to Zahru. From the description, it seems that she is not chosen as the prince's escort for The Crossing but rather designated as the human sacrifice. This book looks really interesting and exciting and will be a must read for me.
