I'd buy this for its gorgeous cover alone but the sample chapters fully sold me. The characters seemed fully fleshed and the opening scene dangled delicious hints of the trouble to come. I especially enjoyed how well the author prepared the setting. I have a movie playing out in my mind already. Can't wait to read the whole story.
