I cant believe how much I have enjoyed this small first impression from this book. I will definitely be reading this series when it is released.
The story so far reminds me of The Hunger Games set in a more fantastical time and world. Zahru and her best friend/partner in crime longing for a chance and night of a lifetime to finally do something that may never happen again. Eat elegant food and see the palace.
Before departing Zahru calls the glass ship " a ship where legends are made" and I do believe that her story will become a legend.
All things slowly go from exciting to terrifying. The end of this excerpt has me on the edge of my chair waiting for what might happen.
