This is the typical YA story about a young girl, nearly 16, who faces the ultimate challenge, and beating it, changes her world in fundamental ways. There is always magic, although her's isn't the right kind or it's not strong enough. She enlists the help of others, but the final victory is from her efforts alone. It's always an interesting story.
