This was quite the thrilling ride! I am glad that I was able to get an advanced copy of this book from the publisher!
There was non stop action for Emily Calby as we join her for her escape from two awful awful men who murder her mother and sister and try to kill her too. What amazes me is how she is able to continue to mostly function in spite of the horror she has experienced. I kept rooting for Emily/Alice and her search for revenge against those to SOBs. She had lucky streaks followed by hitting rock bottom but she never gave up. She meant some good people too which helped remind me that the world does have some redeeming qualities about it.
This is a riveting novel and you probably should set aside a chunk of time to read it in one go. It is very hard to put down.
