Wasn't fond of the description but the first few pages caught my attention

I wasn't too sure about this book when I first saw the cover and read the book's description, but within the first few pages of the book I was drawn in. I want to read more to find out the full story of why the main character's family was murdered, and to find out the reason why those two men would want to murder the whole family, and how did the main character escape. I must have this book!
