I really cannot express how far from realistic this first look was. The writing was sub par, and the story was very boring. The issue I really had was in the introductory passage Emily is way too observant to be a 12 year old. She notices things, points out things, and states things in a manner an adult would. The cover was also very underwhelming, and I do not wish to even read anymore of this novel.
