The writing wasn't bad, but I couldn't fully get into the story. The plot is one I have seen many times before. Girl runs away from home after family is murdered and gets caught in trouble. Granted, the MC in this book is younger than usual (I usually see this in YA), but I could never connect to her in the story. I can see others being interested in this book, but I don't feel the need to read further.
