The 'Before' part of the book sucked me in instantly. I loved the banter of the characters in Emily's family. I liked how trusting her mother was and how she was instantly suspicious. This section sets up the rest of the book for the thrill ride that is to come. I also enjoyed how the book went into the first chapter so we need to find out how the characters were lead to their final destiny.
