I was excited to read my first book by Melissa De La Cruz after hearing great things about The Queen's Assassin by her. Thankfully, The Headmaster's List did not disappoint. I really enjoyed the variety of characters and learning more about them and their stories throughout the book. I thought the pacing of this was well done and I stayed intrigued throughout the entire story. Unfortunately, I couldn't quite give this a five star because I thought the ending was a little bit predictable but overall I think this was a solid four star YA mystery/thriller. I think the audience for this one is definitely on the younger side for a YA and I think that is another reason why I couldn't quite give it a five star rating as it was just a little bit too immature for me. Overall, I would recommend The Headmasters List to fans of YA mystery books like One of Us is Lying.
