This book was an interesting read overall. I think it had all the elements of a good book, especially a thriller/murder mystery book. Each character in the book had depth and a background which was necessary. I believe the plot could have been more sturdy as the ending seemed a bit rushed. While the whodunit reveal was a surprise it also came off as random which is not something that you would want the reader to think of. But the author does a wonderful job of building the story up, the murder itself, and the hours that the friends spend together. It is both a coming of age story and has heavy emphasis on finding friends, almost giving found family. I loved the cover a lot and really thought the cover perfectly portrayed the novel. Overall, it was a great novel for people who enjoy these mystery and suspense novels. I would definitely recommend it to teenagers.
