I’m going to say that this book was mysterious and entertaining but also that it took a little while to get into and I felt it had some lose ends.

After a fatal car accident three classmates have survived.
In the car that night were: our main character Spencer, her ex boyfriend Ethan, loner Tabby and Chris (who died in the accident).

Chris is the only one with full memory of the event. Spencer hit her head badly enough that she has memory loss of the night of the crash, but she knows it doesn’t make sense that.she was in the car with Ethan since they’d just broken up that night. Ethan is being accused of being drunk, maybe high, driving recklessly and causing Chris’ death. And Ethan isn’t fighting the accusations very strongly.
Spencer is also sure that Ethan was sober. He’s been sober for a year and she knows he was that night too.

Spencer takes it upon herself to dig into the case and find out what really happened. At first, it might be partly because she’s trying to get her memory back. But then it’s so clear to her thar things don’t line up and she won’t stop till she gets to the bottom of everything.

I’ll admit that I figured out most of what really happened pretty quickly. I wouldn’t call the reveal “shocking”. But the why, the who, the details of the crash, those are parts you don’t find out until the end.

I’m going to stop here on my review on BookishFirst. I will add additional comments on Goodreads because I will be marking that review as containing potential spoilers.
