This book was a page turner right from the beginning. It had short chapters that were filled with action and made the end of the book come quicker than you expected. The mixed layout of the book with police reports, a podcast, and narration from the characters was a great choice to keep the readers interest as the suspense built with speculation on what happened. The author brought her characters to life in every way through descriptions of their personality as well as their conversations and the way she used a therapy dog to help the main character with the repercussions of the accident was a great choice. There were many moments of intense suspense as memories were regained by one of the main characters around what the truth was about the accident and how far someone will go to cover up that truth. I voluntarily reviewed an advance readers copy of this book.
