When BookishFirst added this novel to its website, I was intrigued by the summary. The First Impression certainly did not disappoint! From the first page of "The Headmaster's List" to the end of the First Impression on page 25, the plot and characters had my attention. The story begins with Spencer being interviewed in the hospital by Officer Potentas. She was one of four high school students involved in a one car accident on their way back from an end of summer party. Spencer if one of three students that survived the accident. One student died at the scene. Spence is struggling with regaining her memory. She vaguely remembers the party and has a few glimpses of the actual accident. The driver of the vehicle was involved in another situation a year earlier, where another student died at a party given at his home. He is seen as a spoiled, rich kid who always gets what he wants. In fact, all of the students live in a wealthy suburb of Los Angeles, and attend the exclusive school of Armstrong Prep. The exception is the student that was killed, fifteen-year-old Chris Moore's father was a teacher at the school. Everyone has their opinions as to what happened and who's at fault. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of this novel to find out the answers!
