I thought this start was okay. Not amazing, just okay. I found the premise intriguing, and I do love a good mystery. I think I just wanted the story to have faster pacing, I wanted it to pick up speed a little bit. Maybe I haven't read enough to really make that judgment yet, but that's just my first impression.
