The gorgeous cover immediately intrigued me. I like the idea of basing a novel around the world immediately after the Sept 11th attacks and how ripples and reactions raced around the world. But overall there was a confusing use of multiple POV in the prologue that made me have to reread the sentences multiple times. The sentence structure and interspersed use of French terms and direct English translations was also a little disorienting.
