The premise of this story is very intriguing and the story gripped me from the first page and made me want to keep reading. The Hanged Man's tale is an intriguing mystery in which police inspector Paul Mazarelle has to seek out a serial killer on the streets of Paris, France. The writing was just okay, in my opinion, but I typically do not gravitate towards stories like these. It seems like an interesting enough story for readers who enjoy murder mysteries. The characters seem to be very nuanced and I like that the author describes the setting in great detail. I like that the cover features the image of a tarot card, which is the only clue found on the victim in the story who is found hanging in a tunnel. Although this book is not really for me, the premise is interesting and I am sure it will appeal to many readers who love fast paced murder mysteries.
