I'm going, to be honest. I was dreading reading this book. But all my putting off and moping were in deep vain because within 30 pages of this book I was hooked. It is so much better the other could have summarized in a few words on the back. Although I have never read or even heard of the first book that was no problem at all. This book captured my heart and at times I had to put it down and take a deep breath because that's how anxious the cliffhangers; left me. Emily made you think deeper and look harder as a Reader. Although I figured out a major plot point pretty early on (after reading hundreds of books u start to tie things together easier) it still shook me to the core when I finally happened. Id never read a crime book that involved this much law but I loved it and now have a new favorite genre. The main character was outspoken yet understanding. Kind yet angry and soi different from me and yet, I've never felt closer to a character. needles to say I will now go back to read the first book.
