Dark and mysterious
This book was quite mysterious and dark. It follows well with my usual preferences for reading. I like to stick to thriller books with a central mystery and some side story action. I was interested in this book, but a little apprehensive to read it since it is technically the second book in a series that I had not yet read. However, it was not an issue for me to skip to book 2. I’m sure I missed some details that would add to the story, but I was not lost. One of my favorite things about the book was the setting. Having the book take place in a juvenile detention center was a good choice. It added to the story, and upped the stakes.I really liked the main character. She really went through a lot in the book. She was very tough but also incredibly smart and resourceful. It helps to have a book where you are really rooting for the main character. I enjoyed this book
