While this isn't my usual type of story, I was intrigued right from the start. The action starts quickly, and I was hooked on the first page. The protagonist encounters difficult situations that make my heart break for her, but becomes a morally gray character by necessity. I want to learn more about her story, and I love that rather than info dumping her background, little breadcrumbs of her background are dropped throughout the early chapters. I can only guess that future chapters will reveal more of her story, and I'd really like to learn her full story.
