I should preface this by stating that I have not read the first book in this series. Therefore, my first impression is not necessarily complete in nature. That being said, even just the first several pages of this book seem to set up an intriguing story that is sure to fascinate new and old readers alike. If I'm being honest, given the nature of how this is written, I actually don't think its necessary to even read book one. The characters and storyline stand on their own and definitely promise an exciting thriller!
