I was so ready for an inspirational and well-written book that acknowledges sensitivity for the strength that it is, rather than viewing it as a negative character trait or even as an insult: how many times have people been told "You're too sensitive!" as a criticism? It has always seemed to me that sensitivity is the secret weapon to achieve so many good things such as general positivity, empathy, strong relationships, and apparently--as this book explains--even professional success and advancement. This book is written in a very accessible way and strikes a good balance between being research-based but also personally compelling. It would be particularly good for people who want to read more nonfiction but don't know where to start, because the subject matter is universally relatable and applicable to a wide range of settings and personal experiences and goals.
