While I don't usually read self help, I felt deeply connected to this book's premise. This was really advertised as a self help book with a hint of spirituality and psychology - but it was more memoir than anything. I don't understand what someone who would have read this for help would've been able to take away other than relatability - which is often not enough on it's own. I was very underwhelmed, and to a point felt unwillingly taken on a memoir ride where I found myself lost and even a little bit resentful of feeling tricked. I believe this will be the biggest issue anyone will have with this book, the way it is presented and it's blurb present it as something entirely different than what it's substance actually is. It also has little to no scientific backing behind it's emotional study on sensitivity. Overall, just was not a pick to me, and I think it leaves a lot lacking.
