It’s nonfiction November, so I’m always looking for new nonfiction books to read. I was first drawn to this book because of the cover. The beautiful colors are really eye catching and almost relaxing.

My son’s pediatrician told me she considered him a highly sensitive person. She has recommended books and ways to deal with his emotional needs. She has been telling me for years that it is a gift. After reading this book, it reaffirmed that for me. Being sensitive is a gift that should be shared with others. Everyone is going through something and we need to remember that.

This book is told in an interesting way with it reading more like a memoir. A look into the author’s own struggles and feelings. I was hoping for a more scientific approach, but it was still interesting.

Overall, an interesting book that I recommend to readers who are sensitive or known someone who is.
