I highly recommend the audiobook version of this book because I loved the narrator. She really emphasized the attitude of the main character, Evelyn, and it was perfect. If you are expecting this to be a fast paced thriller, then you won’t get that. It’s definitely slow moving with reveals along the way. It was so intriguing and unique. It reminded me of a Blake Crouch novel. The sci-fi was present, but it wasn’t the whole story. I was engaged throughout the story and couldn’t wait to see where it would go. I did go into it expecting it to be more intense so I was a little let down because I was expecting more. If I went into it with the expectations of it being more a slow burn story than I think I would have thought differently about how it ended and the reveals. I can almost use a sequel because I’m so curious about how the characters lives continue after this book ends. This was a fun sci-fi with a mystery element twist book!
