"Stress stimulates growth. Sometimes, in order to make something develop in the right direction, you have to hurt it."

The Echo Wife by Sarah Gailey is the science fiction psychological thriller I didn't know I needed and wanted so badly. Evelyn is recently divorced from her husband, Nathan, after finding out that he was cheating on her... with her clone. Shockingly, that's possibly the least chaotic aspect of the story. Everything only gets crazier and more morally gray from there. Giving the reader Black Mirror and Westworld vibes, The Echo Wife is unlike any domestic thriller you've read yet. The characters and background stories are all developed really well so you can't help but start to resonate with both Evelyn and Martine. Once I picked this book up, I was unable to put it down, reading late into the night.
