Evelyn is a notable scientist and she is receiving an award (like the Nobel Prize). She seems to be quite cold and unfeeling (Nicole Kidman would be great playing her). Her husband isn’t with her because he left her but she doesn’t want anyone to know. She leaves the award ceremony and goes home to a bottle of wine and gets a phone call. Martine wants to meet with her at a coffee shop. Who is Martine you say? Welp, Martine is Evelyn’s clone - the one her ex husband made to replace her. The clone that he sleeps with every night. The clone that he MADE better than Evelyn. The clone that will do anything and everything for him. I have to say that this book is bonkers in all the best ways. There is a part near the end where I completely freaked out because I didn’t see it coming. A really great book that I won’t forget for a while. I gave this one four stars on Goodreads.
