The first page was a little slow to read as it was mostly description about her dress for the banquet and her wedding. After getting past that I was hooked. Her character is strong and knows that she is important but she still has to deal with something mundane like a husband cheating. The first few chapters were enough to get me to want to read the rest of the book just to find out what happens with her husband not to mention her research. The cover was simple but I think that is enough for this book. Sometimes covers become cheesy and overdone making the reader expect a lot without delivering. This book, if it continues the way it started, will be intense, thoughtful, and very good.
