What I noticed almost instantly is that this story has a John Marrs quality to it...not overwhelmingly sci-fi, but just enough to be believable. After all, don't we give up pieces of ourselves, little by little, all throughout our lives? To find love, acceptance of peers, to move ahead in careers, etc?
This book had my attention from just the first few short chapters. This is a title I know I could easily read within one or two sittings.
