In the beginning, this book really intrigued me. The cover looked alluring and made me want to rush and start reading the first look. Sarah Gailey used an interest concept and the summary is very interesting... but after reading the first three chapters I'm still not sold on it. Like if I won the book I'd be glad, but I feel like the chapters I read didn't do her book justice.

I liked that Evelyn was introduced as a kind of complex character, a women who the world thinks has it all, but deep down a lot of things are going wrong. Like, her husband is possibly getting married to a woman who is her clone/ a clone of her mother. It's bound to be a great story. Evelyn was very interesting, and it was cool to learn about how her job and marriage intertwine... but I hope the rest of the book's pace picks up. It's a great idea, but after reading the first look I don't feel fulfilled. I still have some questions and the pace of The Echo Wife so far is kind of disheartening.
