The synopsis certainly caught my attention. Something a bit different than the normal thriller read. I like the near-futuristic setting. Thrillers are not my normal genre; however, the excerpt was a rather slow. Maybe it's a slow burn. Then again, maybe that's the pace of the book, which would be disappointing. And so I'll likely not buy it because of that. I would check it out of the library because I'm curious to see where it goes.
