I liked how detailed the narrator was with their explanation of the dress and how the character looked in the mirror. I was able to picture the character vividly and get a strong feel for them. The author does a great job getting you invested in the very beginning and wanting to find out more about the characters relationship with her mother, her ex-husband, and his new fiance.
