The author has done a fascinating job of making a brilliant scientist who's spurned by their ex still seem so relatable. The way Evelyn is processing her problems and prioritizing life feels very real and vivid. I'm excited to see what strange cliff we just dove off of at the end of chapter 3. I've got a feeling that something is dangerously wrong with martine and evelyn will have to choose to sacrifice herself and her emotions or save the version of herself that stole her husband.
