This book revolves around a modern serial killer with strange links to some historic unsolved murders. Could it be the same killer after all this time? Is a copy cat murderer? The book follows John Coleman whose father was one of the detectives on the old murder case. You quickly realize that John has many flaws and a few demons of his own. You will want to dislike him at first but then his character gets to you and you start to root for him.
There were a few scenarios that were pretty easy to figure out but then there were those unexpected twist that really kept you in the book for the long haul. There are a few nice surprises woven into the story.
This book was an easy read. It got a little dull early into it but just keep going, it gets better. I would recommend it to anyone who likes suspense that is not to weighty. You will root for John by the end.
