I love it when a book takes a piece of history and brings it back to life. The author did just that with the Torso Murders and added some fascinating and surprising twists by continuing the story through that murderer's family members across the decades. Making his primary protagonists women was clever and very well done. These characters felt particularly evil and twisted and I longed for them to receive justice!

John's character, though obviously flawed with his cheating and alcoholism, was likable. Someone you rooted for and wanted to slap in the face for being so blind to consequences at the same time. I would have liked to have seen a little more insight on his part....a deeper internal argument....as he dealt with his demons.

Overall, enjoyable and interesting read! I look forward to seeing what Mr. Jordan comes up with next!
