One of the worst parts of thrillers can be the slow lead. You get halfway through and there's still no thrills, mysteries, murders. Not here. Not this book. The first chapter starts almost immediately with a woman screaming and a dead body, well part of it is a better description. Elliot Ness hunted a killer in the forties that escaped his clutches. A decade later another killer struck the same area with the same results, different detective. This time the dead body has fallen into the face of the lead detective's son. Bullied the first time around after his dad lost the track of the kiler, how will be be affected now?

I've never read anything by this author so can't compare the writing style to anyone or any book but it's definitely well written. Descriptive, detailed, and, date I say, creepy. Looking forward to experiencing the whole story.
