It seemed as though the author was trying to creature complex characters who were not purely good and had some flaws, but he fell short of making them relatable and it was difficult for me, as a reader, to become emotionally invested in these characters which is such an essential part to a psychological book.
It was easy to get caught up in the book and I did find myself wanting to make it to the finish line and see the outcomes, but I still didn't looove it in the way one loves a truly good book.
People who like Criminal Minds or other such TV shows (Dexter/Law and Order/CSI etc.) would probably also enjoy this book- especially if they don't think too hard about it or have particularly high expectations.
