I suppose I was looking forward to reading it after reading the excerpt provided. I guess I thought it would be a different story. I found myself incapable of really caring for any of the characters so the story kind of dragged for me. It did have some interesting aspects to it that I did like but most of it was just boring. It was just okay for. The writing style wasn't bad but the main character just came off a contrived and rather pathetic. I might read another book from this author though. I did like some aspects of the plot but I wish the antagonist of this book was more interesting than this. I wish I could've liked this one better, but it just wasn't my particular cup of tea.
